Title Alliance, a RESPA-compliant ESOP leader in joint venture title insurance, announced today growth in their Title Alliance of Maine operation. The company appointed a Corporate Attorney, Processor and Post-Closer to add to their already exceptional team. Kelly J. Stevens, Esq., Corporate Attorney; Tracey Elliot, Processor; and Melissa Perkins, Post Closer; bring to the team a wealth of experience and knowledge. Title Alliance first announced their partnership with the Greater Portland Market Center in December 2013 and announced earlier this year the promotion of Amy Devine and Corey Bedell.
Perkins began to work in the title industry in 1997. Her experience processing and post-closing residential transactions will prove to be an asset to the team in Maine.
“Melissa’s attention to detail acts as an extra set of eyes to make sure all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed,” says Amy Devine, Director of Operations for Title Alliance of Maine. She continues, “Having her in the office will help us to handle a much higher volume, which is timely as the Spring Market is already kicking in.”
Elliott joins the team with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of the closing process. She has experience in the entire process, from opening orders to clearing title commitment and processing HUD statements.
“Tracy’s well rounded experience and go getter attitude made me confidant that she was a good fit,” says Jadah Hill, Regional Director for Title Alliance. “Her commitment to exceptional customer service was apparent, and I know she’s going to help this team to continue to grow.”
Stevens graduated from the University of Maine Law School in 2001 and has practiced in the title and settlement industry since 2002. She serves as a member of the American Land Title Association, sits on the Board of Directors for hoMEworks where she educates first time homebuyers, and serves on the University of Southern Maine Institutional Review Board. Stevens is admitted to practice law in Maine and New Hampshire.
“Kelly’s professional resume, and incredible knowledge base regarding the industry and law, will really pull the team together,” says Hill. “Customers can feel confident that Kelly understands their needs and can address them quickly and professionally.”
Perkins, Elliott and Stevens join forces with Devine, Bedell and with Processor Joyce Sobus and Pre-Processor Betty Lane. The team has been focusing on training and learning the systems and procedures of Title Alliance of Maine and is ready to hit the ground running. The company is continuing to set the stage to handle increased volume in 2015 as the Greater Portland Market continues to bloom with the systems and power team they have in place.
