HOW WE GOT OUR START

Title Alliance was the first in the industry to develop title and settlement joint ventures with real estate and lending professionals in Pennsylvania. With an unparalleled record of over 85 successful joint ventures, Title Alliance has established itself time and time again as the strategic alliance leader in the Title Insurance industry.

Title Alliance, Ltd. was born from Title Abstract Company of Pennsylvania which was founded in 1948. That company later created an underwriting company as well as many other companies that supported and enhanced the operations of the title underwriting company. The management team of Title Alliance wanted to focus exclusively on the business of creating and administering successful RESPA compliant joint-ventured title agencies and has focused in that space solely since 1983.

The genesis of Title Alliance, Ltd. is Title Abstract Company of Pennsylvania which was founded in 1948. That company later created an underwriting company as well as many other companies that supported and enhanced the operations of the title underwriting company. The management team of Title Alliance wanted to focus exclusively on the business of creating and administering successful RESPA compliant joint-ventured title agencies. In May 2014, Title Alliance became an ESOP Company.

In 2015, Title Alliance expanded out of its founding East Coast habitat and began forming a Western Division. As a growing company now operating in four times zones with over 50 locations across 10 states, we are continually opening new offices and expanding into new regions. Jim Campbell

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer for Title Alliance, Jim focuses on leading with a people first mentality. As a servant leader, he is constantly working toward improving the lives of his team members, whom he serves. He believes that he holds the lowest place on the organizational chart and that it is through the work of his team members that the company is able to continue to grow. Jim began with the company in 2004 as an Affiliated Business Specialist and rose through the ranks to roles including Director of Sales and Marketing before becoming CEO in 2015. Ever the entrepreneur, Jim loves creating businesses and providing opportunities for partners to have success. Jim’s first job was when he was 5 years old selling the samples for the school fundraiser – for no pay and without taking orders and he hasn’t looked back.  

He believes that energy creates energy and that positivity is a choice that he consciously chooses every day. Jim enjoys a good conversation and focuses more on listening than speaking to connect deeply with those around him. Jim is an extreme visionary who believes that all things are possible with the right mindset and determination. Through Jim’s vision, the formerly East Coast based company expanded and explored the Western Coast and set up their 2nd corporate HQ in Phoenix in 2019. The consummate learner himself, Jim empowers his team members to grow and to develop and he’s most energized by seeing them reach their potential.

Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Widener University and has been a featured speaker at RESPRO; NS3 and has appeared on Podcasts including Empire Builders & Tom Toole Sales Group Live Radio. He is also the co-host of Title Alliance Live, Title Alliance’s Podcast. Jim believes that the success to life is to have business and personal become one. As such, he can be found with a fishing rod in hand while spending time with partners and friends. His bucket list includes visiting all 50 states, and he has 14 to go.  

Lindsay Smith

Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer for Title Alliance, Lindsay focuses on developing strategies to strengthen their family of companies and to position them for success. Her emphasis is on overall growth, communication, and strategic development from both a corporate and joint venture perspective. As one of the culture drivers in the organization, Lindsay is integral in creating recruitment and retention strategies providing an environment that recognizes the team members as both employees and as humans with families outside of the office. In 2021, Lindsay identified and implemented a strategic 180-day onboarding program as well as developed a people centric approach to employee relations through the addition of a Director of People and Employee Experience Manager.

On the growth side, Lindsay works closely with partners during the sales cycle to assure cultural alignment and the proper expectations are set and executed upon. Since 2016, under Lindsay’s strategic leadership, Title Alliance’s Western Division has increased by over 700% in profits.

Lindsay is an inspirational leader that inspires and focuses on goal setting, personal growth opportunities and motivation for team members and partners in both live and virtual formats. Attention to detail and standards of excellence are apparent in all events, meetings, and client gatherings.

Lindsay graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and English Writing, Cum Laude in 2004. She has post-graduate education in Survey Design, Data Analysis & Statistical Charting, and Social Networking. Lindsay is also an expert in Meeting Planning. She joined the Title Alliance Family in 2005 and has made valuable contributions to the team as she has climbed each rung of the corporate ladder.

Lindsay is the mother to three children, an Alumnae Member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, a member of the COO Alliance, a Founding Member of the GoBundance Women’s Tribe and an XChange Certified Facilitator. She has been a featured speaker for NS3; at RESPRO and has been on Podcasts including the Second In Command and The World’s Greatest Woman. She is also the co-host for Title Alliance’s Podcast, Title Alliance Live.

Tom Cestare

Chief Financial Officer

Tom is an experienced financial industry executive with substantive financial services and investment experience. Tom has over 30 years of experience in managing the financial risks of major companies, as well as capital deployment, strategic financial planning and reporting. Tom was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2010-2019 at Beneficial Bancorp, a $4.7 billion bank with over $240 million in revenue. At Beneficial, Tom managed a team of 65+ members.

Prior to Beneficial, Tom was the Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Sovereign Bancorp, Inc., a $92 billion Philadelphia bank. Additionally, Tom comes to us with an in depth experience in dealing with ESOP companies and assuring favorable stockholder returns. Beneficial Savings Bank was an ESOP Company, with the ESOP owning 6% of their outstanding units.

Maria Deligiorgis, Esq

General Counsel & Compliance Officer

Maria joined Title Alliance in 2017 as Regional Director of the Mid Atlantic. In 2019, Maria was promoted to General Counsel and Compliance Officer where she is responsible for the company’s legal and business elements in all operations as well as supervising and directing underwriting, compliance reports and best practices along with overseeing SOC 1 and SOC 2 reporting and other company endeavors.

Maria has a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Iowa and her Juris Doctor Degree from American University Washington College of Law.
