Title Alliance Appoints Erika L. O’Brien Mason as Closing Disclosure and HUD Specialist

Title Alliance, Ltd, a RESPA-compliant ESOP leader in joint ventured title insurance agencies, announced today that it has appointed Erika L. O’Brien Mason as CD/HUD Specialist for the company and their affiliates. Mason’s appointment is consistent with the emphasis on Training announced in December with the appointment of Corporate Trainer, Michele Rist.

Mason’s role is to help settlement personnel with CD/HUD formatting and entry. With the company’s affiliates working with hundreds of lenders, there are items each lender requires to be displayed in a slightly different manner. She focuses on troubleshooting the CD/HUD to assist with formatting content to comply with lenders’ requirements and to make modifications as necessary.

Mason joined the Title Alliance family in 2014 and came in with an immense knowledge of the Closing Disclosure. Having immersed herself in webinars and seminars, she felt well prepared for the changes that would come upon the industry as TRID went into effect. A knowledge seeker, Mason has continued to attend webinars, seminars and also has attended live Q&A sessions with RamQuest, the company’s software provider. During the sessions, she’s able to individually troubleshoot issues as they have arisen and has received answers from the source.

“Over the years I have prepared thousands of HUD Settlement Statements and hundreds of Closing Disclosures. I work tirelessly to resolve any issues and for those issues that I can’t solve on my own, I have direct contact with the necessary parties to come to a quick resolution,” says Mason. “I look forward to working with the entire Title Alliance Family to help give them clarity on issues that arise so that they can focus on servicing the customer with the highest levels of customer service.”

Prior to entering the title industry in 2002, Mason was a Corporate Trainer where she developed, documented and implemented training programs on a national level. Combined, these two skillsets allow for her to be equipped to not only be able to answer questions and put out fires but also to be able to expand on any particular part of the system that may be puzzling for some.

“Erika has always impressed me with her determination and systematic ability to work through problems by being solution oriented,” says Mary Blancett, Regional Director for Title Alliance.

“As our company expands,” says Michele Rist, Corporate Trainer for Title Alliance, “it is important that we have qualified personnel available with specialized skillsets to share their knowledge with our teams.” She concludes, “This position is crucial as the Spring Market really gets underway as our offices will be working on a high volume of transactions with many different, and sometimes new, lenders. The timing for Erika’s appointment is perfect.”
