Title Alliance announced today that the months of March and April mark three special anniversaries for the leading joint venture title insurance company: thirty-five years ago Ruth O’Connor, settlement officer, thirty years ago, Lillian ReDavid, partner, and ten years ago, Jim Campbell, partner, joined the company. O’Connor, ReDavid and Campbell have been integral parts of Title Alliance’s success throughout the years.
Thirty-five years ago, when O’Connor started with Title Alliance, she served as a secretary with no prior experience in the title insurance business and no computer access to automate the homeowner buying process. She quickly became educated on the ins and outs of the company with rigorous training and involvement within several Title Alliance offices.
After six months working in the Media, Pennsylvania headquarters office, she was offered a position in the Folsom, PA office as a title insurance closer. Throughout her thirty-five years of employment with the company she worked in the Springfield office as a closer, and in five different PA-based offices and one New Jersey office as a manager.
O’Connor is the employee within the title insurance’s family of companies with the longest tenure, next to Bill Cotter who founded Title Alliance in 1983 and began working with Title Abstract Company in 1959.
“I have always known I was in the right place and where I wanted to be when I came into the office.” Says O’Connor. “Experiencing a couple purchasing their first home, a realtor or mortgage broker getting through their 1st closing never gets old.”
ReDavid began her career with Title Alliance as an Accounts Payable and General Ledger Clerk. She quickly moved up the rankings and in 1995 was promoted to Accounting Department Manager. In 2001, ReDavid earned her position as Vice President and Controller. In 2007, she became one of the partners of Title Alliance.
“I’ve always loved the fact that we are small enough to know so many of the employees on a first name basis,” said ReDavid reflecting on her milestone. “We are like family”.
Campbell celebrates his tenth year with Title Alliance, where he began his career with the company as an affiliated business specialist and quickly worked his way up to a partner in 2007. Prior to joining Title Alliance, he was a member of the Board of Directors for their parent company. He currently specializes in maintaining a consumer-centric approach to setting up joint ventures and maintaining consistent communication between Title Alliance and their customers.
“The most rewarding aspect of working with Title Alliance has been establishing relationships with partners and team members that have been built to last,” Campbell reflects. “Every day presents new sets of challenges and opportunities which makes for a very dynamic work environment.”
