Title Alliance, a RESPA-compliant ESOP company who specializes in joint ventured title insurance agencies, announced today the appointment of Corporate Attorney and Manager in their newly opened Title Alliance of South Florida operation. This partnership between Keller Williams SW Realty and Title Alliance, the company’s 39th entity, was announced on Friday.

Gabriel M. Burgos, Esq. joins the team as Corporate Attorney. His previous experience includes legal services in the areas of Immigration, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Family Law, and Real Estate; making him incredibly knowledgeable and an exceptional asset to the office. Gabriel formerly worked in The Office of the Garrison Attorney for the U.S. Army. His primary focus was on assisting military families with their legal needs, which included reviewing and explaining all closing documents and lender packages for both the purchase and sale of his clients’ homes. Gabriel is fluent in both English and Spanish. He has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from Fordham University and a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law and is a United States Navy Veteran. He was admitted to the South Florida Bar in May 2012 and to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in June 2012.

Lisa Douglas joins the Title Alliance of South Florida team as Manager with over 32 years of mortgage and title industry experience. She understands the importance of working closely with the lenders to ensure a smooth transaction for all parties. She is a powerful communicator with a comprehensive understanding of the title industry, and is incredibly detail oriented with strong systems of organization. Lisa has kept abreast of the constant changes that have occurred in the industry and is capable of handling files from application through closing; making certain that all parties are kept informed and aware of the process and any issues that may arise. Lisa is looking forward to working with some of the most professional & knowledgeable real estate agents in the area.

The interview process for candidates was led by Nancy D. Warner, Director at Title Alliance. She knew that she had a winning team when she met with both Burgos and Douglas. “We interviewed many candidates telephonically and in person,” says Warner. “Lisa impressed me because her background in both mortgage and title was very solid. Gabriel is a young, energetic and bright attorney who will bring with him knowledge and energy to the team. Both also sat with the Keller Williams Realty SW Principals, and we knew we had a winning combination on our hands.”
